  This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

  I’m a little surprised by how little I see people talking about this movie’s misogynistic undertones. From the obsession with fat women’s bodies, to the entire plot being basically a woman getting sent violent rape fantasies as punishment for getting an abortion many years ago, I found this movie almost impossible to stomach. I think it’s rare to see a movie with lots of violence toward women that doesn’t lean exploitative, but Nocturnal Animals goes full sharp turn.
