while Blade Runner’s storyline and characters didn’t completely engage my devoted attention, what certainly did was its dreamlike score and elegant cinematography. the music throughout this thing is just so mellow yet so incredibly enticing that i found myself truly getting lost and immersed in its moody atmosphere several times. i was left in awe of the film’s stunning visuals from the very start and absolutely loved the use of lighting and colour throughout. i try to refrain from using slang in my reviews but visually this film is just SO SICK. even the storyline which i wasn’t exactly too captivated by rounded itself up quite beautifully by the end. yeah, i’m very excited to see how 2049 follows up.
