I know a lot of people have nostalgia for this movie and think it’s even better than the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, but this movie didn’t really work for me at all. In theory Tim Burton is a great pick to direct this movie, but it doesn’t really work in execution. Positives:
As a superhero fan, this movie is a dream come true. There are so many fantastic moments that get me pumped up every single time I watch it. It can make you laugh, it can make you cry, and it leaves you completely satisfied. This movie lived up to the eleven year build up starting with Iron Man.
